The Application of Hot Air Nonwoven Fabric in Diaper

Hot air nonwoven fabric, belonging to a type of non-woven fabric, has become an indispensable material for diapers due to its high fluffiness, good elasticity, soft hand feel, strong warmth retention, and good breathability. It is generally used for the surface or bottom layer of diapers.

1.Application of bottom layer of diapers

The function of the bottom layer of diapers is to prevent urine from seeping out, so the material used for the bottom layer not only needs to have the characteristics of anti-seepage, low fuzzing, and good strength, but also needs to have a fabric like soft touch and wear resistance. Due to its soft and fluffy characteristics, hydrophobic airthrough nonwoven can be used as a bottom layer for diapers when combined with PE film. Therefore, in recent years, many diaper products have switched to using hot air non-woven fabric as the bottom layer. Hot air non-woven fabric is made of ES short fibers and greatly reduces pilling by adding ironing rollers and other processes, becoming a new choice for diaper bottom layer materials.

2.Application of surface layer of diapers

There are generally two types of surface materials: adhesive non-woven fabric and hot air non-woven fabric. Hydrophilic airthrough nonwoven is more suitable as a surface material for diapers due to its high fluffiness, good elasticity, soft hand feel, strong warmth retention, and excellent breathability and permeability. It can not only effectively penetrate water, but also prevent urine from refluxing, improving the comfort of babies.
